The PIXMA G4470 delivers sharp text, detailed graphics and vibrant colour prints at resolutions of up to 4800 × 1200 dpi. Print speeds of approximately 11 images per minute in black and 6 images per minute in colour support productive everyday use, while borderless 10 × 15 cm photographs can be produced in approximately 45 seconds.

Canon’s refillable MegaTank system uses high-yield GI-41 ink bottles, delivering an estimated yield of up to 6,000 black pages and 7,700 colour pages. Economy Mode increases the estimated yield to as many as 7,600 black pages and 8,100 colour pages, making the printer a practical choice for regular or high-volume printing.

The 35-sheet Automatic Document Feeder simplifies scanning, copying and faxing multi-page, single-sided documents without requiring each page to be placed on the scanner individually. A CIS flatbed scanner is also included for photographs, identification documents, books and individual pages.

Built-in Super G3 colour fax functionality supports black-and-white and colour transmissions, stores up to 50 pages in memory and provides group dialling for up to 19 locations. Black-and-white fax transmission takes approximately three seconds per page under standard test conditions.

Connect wirelessly to compatible computers, smartphones and tablets using Wi-Fi or Wireless Direct. Mobile and cloud printing are supported through the Canon PRINT app, Apple AirPrint, Mopria and PIXMA Cloud Link. A Hi-Speed USB Type-B port is also available for direct connection to a compatible computer.

The 100-sheet rear paper tray accommodates various media, including plain paper, photo paper, envelopes, cardstock, magnetic photo paper, restickable photo paper and iron-on transfers. Borderless printing is supported on multiple sizes up to A4, while the 1.35-inch monochrome LCD provides straightforward control of essential functions.
