The Canon PIXMA iX6840 is a compact, high-performance A3+ inkjet printer designed for offices, businesses, designers and home users requiring professional-quality large-format printing. With Wi-Fi, Ethernet and mobile printing support, it can be shared conveniently across compatible computers and smart devices.

Print everything from everyday A4 documents to large spreadsheets, posters, presentations, marketing materials and photographs at sizes up to A3+ (329 × 483 mm). Canon’s FINE print-head technology delivers resolutions of up to 9600 × 2400 dpi, producing crisp text, detailed graphics and vibrant photo-quality colour.

The five-colour individual ink system combines pigment black ink for sharp business documents with dye-based black, cyan, magenta and yellow inks for rich colour and smooth photographic detail. Each ink tank can be replaced separately, reducing unnecessary ink replacement when only one colour runs out.

The PIXMA iX6840 prints at approximately 14.5 images per minute in black and 10.4 images per minute in colour. A borderless 10 × 15 cm photograph can be produced in approximately 36 seconds, while a bordered A3+ print takes approximately 120 seconds.

Built-in Wi-Fi enables wireless printing from compatible computers, smartphones and tablets through the Canon PRINT app and Apple AirPrint. Ethernet connectivity allows the printer to be shared across a wired home or office network, while Hi-Speed USB provides a direct computer connection.

A 150-sheet paper tray supports a wide selection of media, including plain paper, envelopes, high-resolution paper and Canon photo paper weighing up to 300 g/m². Optional XL and XXL ink tanks provide higher page yields for users with regular or high-volume printing requirements.
