The Canon MAXIFY GX2040 is a compact 4-in-1 MegaTank printer designed for home offices, small businesses and professionals requiring reliable, economical document printing. It combines printing, scanning, copying and faxing with a 35-sheet Automatic Document Feeder, automatic two-sided printing and flexible wired and wireless connectivity.

Canon’s refillable ink tank system delivers an estimated yield of up to 3,000 black pages or 3,000 colour pages from a full set of GI-45 ink bottles. Economy Mode increases the estimated yield to as many as 4,500 black or 4,500 colour pages, helping reduce the frequency of refills and control operating costs.

The MAXIFY GX2040 produces clear, durable business documents at resolutions of up to 600 × 1200 dpi. Its pigment-based inks provide excellent readability and resistance to fading, water, highlighter smudging and ink transfer, making it suitable for reports, invoices, forms, proposals and other professional documents.

Print speeds of approximately 15 images per minute in black and 10 images per minute in colour support productive everyday use. The first page can be produced in approximately nine seconds for black and 11 seconds for colour, while automatic two-sided printing saves time and paper when producing A4 or Letter-size documents.

The 35-sheet Automatic Document Feeder streamlines the scanning, copying and faxing of multi-page documents. A high-resolution CIS flatbed scanner is also included for books, identification documents, photographs and individual sheets. The printer supports copying speeds of up to approximately 14.1 ipm in black through the ADF and provides useful functions such as collated copying, ID copying, two-sided copying and 2-on-1 or 4-on-1 layouts.

Built-in Super G3 colour fax supports black-and-white and colour transmission, stores approximately 250 pages in memory and provides coded speed dialling for up to 100 locations.

The 250-sheet front cassette keeps paper protected and reduces the need for frequent reloading. A 2.7-inch colour touchscreen provides straightforward access to printer settings and functions, while Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Wireless Direct and USB connectivity make the printer easy to integrate into home and small-office environments.
