The Canon MAXIFY GX4040 is a high-volume 4-in-1 MegaTank business printer designed for home offices and small businesses requiring fast, economical and professional document printing. It combines printing, scanning, copying and faxing with a 35-sheet Automatic Document Feeder, automatic two-sided printing and flexible Wi-Fi, Ethernet and USB connectivity.

Canon’s refillable MegaTank system delivers an estimated yield of up to 6,000 black pages or 14,000 colour pages using replacement GI-46 ink bottles. Economy Mode increases the estimated yield to as many as 9,000 black pages or 21,000 colour pages, helping businesses manage frequent printing while maintaining low running costs.

The included ink bottles provide an estimated initial yield of up to 5,000 black and 5,000 colour pages after the printer’s initial setup.

The MAXIFY GX4040 prints at approximately 18 images per minute in black and 13 images per minute in colour. First-page output takes approximately eight seconds for black and nine seconds for colour, while automatic two-sided printing helps save time and paper when producing A4 and Letter-size documents.

Pigment-based inks deliver sharp, durable business documents with excellent readability and resistance to water, highlighter smudging, fading and ink transfer. The printer is suitable for reports, invoices, forms, presentations, menus, marketing materials and other professional applications.

A 35-sheet Automatic Document Feeder simplifies scanning, copying and faxing multi-page documents. The high-resolution CIS flatbed scanner handles books, identification documents and individual pages, while scan-to-email and scan-to-network-folder capabilities support efficient digital document workflows.

The GX4040 offers versatile three-way media handling through a 250-sheet front cassette, 100-sheet rear tray and rear flat tray. The rear flat tray accepts paperboard up to 0.7 mm thick, while the rear tray supports banners and custom media up to 1,200 mm long.

A 2.7-inch colour touchscreen provides easy access to printer functions and settings. Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Wireless Direct and USB connectivity make the printer suitable for individual or shared office use, while mobile and cloud printing are supported through the Canon PRINT app, Apple AirPrint, Mopria and PIXMA Cloud Link.
