The Canon MAXIFY GX7140 is a high-performance 4-in-1 MegaTank business printer designed for offices and businesses requiring fast output, high-volume paper handling and low running costs. It combines printing, scanning, copying and faxing with a 50-sheet single-pass duplex Automatic Document Feeder, automatic two-sided printing and comprehensive Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB and cloud connectivity.

Canon’s refillable MegaTank system provides an estimated yield of up to 6,000 black pages or 14,000 colour pages using GI-46 ink bottles. Economy Mode increases the estimated yield to as many as 9,000 black pages or 21,000 colour pages, making the GX7140 suitable for businesses with substantial everyday document requirements.

The printer delivers sharp, durable business documents at resolutions of up to 600 × 1200 dpi. Pigment-based inks provide excellent readability and resistance to water, highlighter smudging, fading and ink transfer, helping professional documents remain clear and presentable.

Print speeds of approximately 24 images per minute in black and 15.5 images per minute in colour support demanding workflows. The first page is produced in approximately 5.5 seconds for black and seven seconds for colour, while automatic two-sided printing saves time and paper when producing A4 and Letter-size documents.

The 50-sheet duplex Automatic Document Feeder scans both sides of a document in a single pass, simplifying the digitisation of double-sided contracts, reports and records. A CIS flatbed scanner is also included for books, identification documents and individual pages.

Two 250-sheet front cassettes and a 100-sheet rear tray provide a total plain-paper capacity of up to 600 sheets. Different paper sizes or media types can remain loaded simultaneously, reducing interruptions and supporting varied business printing requirements. The rear tray also accommodates envelopes, photo paper, magnetic paper, restickable paper and banners up to 1,200 mm long.

The integrated Super G3 colour fax stores approximately 250 pages in memory and offers coded speed dialling for up to 100 locations. A 2.7-inch tiltable colour touchscreen provides straightforward control, while scan-to-email, scan-to-folder and scan-to-USB functions support efficient digital workflows.
